Our 3 Meeting Process

Picture
The first meeting will last approximately 60 minutes and begin with going over and signing our Privacy and Confidentiality agreement which states we will not share your information.  We will then go over our Retirement Questionnaire  in detail which should be completed prior to our first meeting.  The answers to the questionnaire along with the items you bring with you will help us gather facts and create a financial needs analysis to assist you in determining if there will be an income gap or surplus in retirement.  We use a unique 4 Bucket System consisting of Liquidity, Lifestyle, Long Term Growth and Legacy and assist you in determining what and how much goes in each bucket.  It is crucial you bring any family members or close friends who help you with your financial decisions.  We can do a conference call with anyone who is unable to attend so they can listen in.

Items you will need to bring to the first meeting include:
  • Investment and savings statements:
    • 401K, 403b, 457, and like retirement accounts
    • Brokerage and stock portfolios
    • Annuities
    • Traditional and Roth IRAs
    • Institutional: Checking, Savings, CD, Money Market accounts
  • Financial and retirement goals; including current retirement savings habits
  • Anticipated pensions
  • Projected or actual social security income (if unknown we will help you determine projected benefits)
  • Asset/budget/debt information
  • Mortgage or rental information, including real estate taxes
  • Income tax information (1040 for last year)
  • Life insurance policies if applicable
  • Long-term care policies if applicable
  • Will, trust, power of attorney information if applicable

The second meeting will consist of answering any questions from the first meeting and going over the Retirement Income plan our Retirement Advisors have created based off the info gathered from the first meeting.  We will show you a detailed income plan that you can't outlive.  A financial notebook will also be provided for you to take home and go over in detail.  This meeting will also last approximately 60 minutes.

The third meeting will consist of answering any questions from the first two meetings and finalizing the Retirement Income plan.  If at that point you decide to make any changes to your retirement plan and implement the recommendations we have made (if there are any) then we will complete the necessary paperwork along with liquidating any funds if required.  This meeting will last 45 to 90 minutes.

A fourth meeting will be conducted if necessary and communication will continue through an ongoing Advisor/Client relationship throughout your retirement years.
